Local files relative, (I'm guessing relative to Playlist location.). Global root for UNC paths, fully qualified drive and path for local files, "export" functionality in sub menu, "linking" application playlist with on disk playlist, "Use Relative Paths" OFF by default, "Use Extended M3u" Global root for UNC paths, automatic export to "my documents/my music/my playlists" not settable The current version of the UPnP/DLNA protocol simply does not support authorization.

The playlist file will have to be scanned by the UPnP server software (such as Twonky), before it is displayed on the GUIĬreates playlists at global root for UNC paths. M3Ufile and is saved in the same root folder as the Music. The following table lists the behaviours of common playlist creation toolsĮnsure that the Playlist is saved as a. Out of the ones listed here, only Media Monkey defaults to relative paths. Those playlist tools that do allow relative paths, default to absolute paths. Most playlist creating tools default to producing playlists with absolute links to items. This will affect playlists where absolute paths are used The Samba view is where the Playlist creation tool will run, but Twonky must use the "Linux view". The same files will also be available over a SAMBA view (on Windows clients). For example a media library on a NAS with Twonky installed will have a "Linux view" that is used directly by Twonky. Twonky is agnostic to "\" or "/" dir separators, however it cannot "fix" mappings between diffferent views of the same file system. This makes Twonky sensitive to where you upload any playlists with relative references. Twonky assumes that playlists that are scanned contain links that are indexed from the location of the playlist.Like I said some odd things but it's things I can live with, for now.Playlist Creation with Twonky Media Server Also I could never get access to Shoutcast through the TwonkyMeda server but fortunately I have Shoutcast available through the Ziova itself.Of course in both NAS's guest read-only access was enabled for the Qmultimedia directory. Also, I was hesitant to use the network shares because it would not always be available (no access allowed) when accessing the TS-109 but it's always available when accessing the TS-209 Pro.

If I could access through the browser both the TwonkyMedia config screen AND the TwonlyMedia directory/file list then I could learn through trial and error much faster. I would use the trial and error method except I need to run up and downstairs to see what the media player has when I have changed something on the media server. I have been asking and perusing the TwonkyMedia forums and website but am getting absolutely nothing about how the media server puts things together in it's database and displays it through a media player. How do I see that folder and file screen on either Qnap? ini file so I could get into the config screen through the 9000 port. When I updated the firmware on my TS-101 a while back, I got some TwonkyMedia screen that showed the folders and files (I guess) stored in the media server's database.
